Examination Committee Role
The prospectus states that the Examination Committee is responsible for conducting internal assessment and examinations, publishing results and awarding certificates provided by the university and the institute to students who pass final examinations.
The committee also keeps record of every issue related to examinations.
University Examination Rules
- A student must be registered with the university for the relevant course and must have paid all required dues to appear in the terminal examination.
- A student must attend 80% of classes in each course to sit in the terminal semester examination.
- The Principal may relax attendance by 10% in documented cases such as extracurricular participation, serious illness or a death in the immediate family.
- Students with less than 80% attendance must repeat the particular course or an approved substitute course.
Promotion and Probation
- If a student scores CGPA less than 1.0 at the end of any semester, she may be dropped from university rolls.
- If CGPA is 1.0 or more but less than 2.0, the student is placed on probation.
- A student is allowed three probation chances during the BS program; failing to achieve the minimum required CGPA of 2.0 for the fourth time ends university status.
- The BS program should be completed within a maximum of twelve regular semesters or six years.
